Though be warned many mobile phone carries explicitly block steam since it would quickly saturate their network.
Steam also doesnt really care about your phone data plan, and you could easily obliterate your download cap
I've played Call of Duty WW2 just fine on multiplayer with friends, And I've played Wildlands with a buddy while being conneced to Discord and I have played Destiny 2 PVP Crucible, Ping was stable around 20 30ms on Discord, Though my Phone had nearly full stregth LTE signal, Got about 50mbps down and 15mbps up.
Works pretty decent on my end on a cheap Samsung Perx J7, But back home in Ohio I had LTE but was not the greatest thing on the planet, ping jumped around and was not the best gaming experince.
I get about 8GB a month of data, and if I need it I'll add 10GB for 10 bucks to my Hotspot, its still cheaper then paying the over charges from the crap ISP...
