Buy it on Steam and then you can. You missed it when it was given away for free a while ago.
Buy it ON Steam to have it ON Steam.
Buy it on Steam, and have copy on Uplay as well. If you buy it on Uplay, well it's only on Uplay.
If you want the Steam overlay for the game, add the game as non-steam game, and you should have the overlay when you launch it through steam.
Thats not even 100% true. While you get an entry for the game in your UPLAY library if you buy it on STEAM, if you try to start it just from UPLAY it will start up STEAM before running.
Also a pure UPLAY version will have a seperate entry in the UPLAY library from the STEAM linked version. Yes, its a bit confusing.
Only way to get Uplay games to add to your Steam account, is getting a Steam key to add to your account. It's one way for Steam to Uplay, not both ways as in Steam to Uplay, and Uplay to Steam for adding games, for whatever platform you bought your games on. If bought on Steam, you should be able to link game to your Uplay account, which should gives you the game added to the Uplay account, they may even come with a key from Steam to redeem on Uplay to add to your account if needed. I know For honor that how it works, and you can download from Uplay, and won't have anything to do with Steam client, unless you downloaded For honor from Steam itself.
