How can I still run steam games on Windows XP after 2019?

I don't know how I got the message on my computer since it wasn't connected to the internet, but it says that steam will stop running on XP I 64 days. Since almost all my games are decently old, is there a way that I could still be able to run these games on my computer. I got my Windows XP computer just for older games, and I would hate to remove these from my computer.

Well, that means you had downloaded the Steam version that has the "expiration date" already added to it. This means that you downloaded it within this year.

There is nothing you can do really. + XP retro computers are useless. Why run old stuff with old hardware when 7 or 10 can run XP games perfectly.

Retro builds only make sense for Win95/98 games.

Starting on January 1 2019, Steam will officially stop supporting the Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. This means that after that date the Steam Client will no longer run on those versions of Windows. In order to continue running Steam and any games or other products purchased through Steam, users will need to update to a more recent version of Windows.

Why would you use XP just for older games? Windows is backwards compatible.

Update the OS to 7 or better and continue to enjoy your games. Though, 7 is on its way to the same fate as XP. No sense in investing in outdated operating systems.

Unless you're using hardware that's barely capable running an OS, and a game at the same time, then I highly suggest it's time to upgrade.
