Too many login failures

I tried to log in via steam for the registration of a square enix account and had tons of issues with the capchas until i could finally make one. Now i need to register the cd key for the expansion and can't log in again to do it because of this. I changed the password 3 times and it didn't work, now i can't even log in my cellphone from the app. I'm losing sub time and can't play the game i paid for.

There's not much that can be done.

I don't see why you needed to change your password three times for logging in, as you should've known it, and had it written down if you have trouble remembering your password.

The capchas should have some kind of refresh option, or maybe zoom in to make out what your not seeing properly.

If your account is on a cooldown, then you're gonna have to wait until cooldown gone, if your account lock, you're gonna have to contact support to get it unlock, if your Square Enix account is locked, you contact Square Enix, not Steam.

I can't log in to steam, not fromsteam site, not from any other site that needs me to log into steam, not even from my mobile. The only reason i changed my password was because the pointless and useless "help" from steam support only takes me there so maybe because of some dumb miracle it would fix, but no. I tried flushing the DNS, clearing the cache, waited, everything.

The capchas failed me even though i wrote them properly several times then this happened, a day ago. I literally can't play the game i bought because of this.

If you take your time, you'll see there is literally nothing about the Too many failures error option in the steam support list, so i don't even know how to fix this. I can't even send a ticket because of that.

You're given a code that you need to enter in when logging in for Steam, which if you don't have the Steam mobile app, then you get an email from them with the code.

FYI this is time sensitive, if your devices are out of sync for time, I suggest you sync your devices to the internet to get the correct time. If using Steam mobile app, you have about 30 - 45 seconds to enter the code, before it changes, make sure the phone/tablet has the correct time sync, double check if you must, also make sure the device you're trying to login on, also has the correct time that is sync. If code is email to you, you have about 5 minutes, so make sure your device you're trying to login on, has the correct time.

Please note that there are fake sites, where people try desperately to make it look like the Steam login, so check the URL address, and ensure it's Steam only, I would suggest not login from 3rd party websites.

The code was right, im using my steam app, the security code is shown even if i don't log in. But i can't even reach that step, the error pops up before that.
I already tried loging in from those sites yesterday, still got the same issue today. Not a sync issue either.

If you're given an error before that, then that means you enter your username, and/or password wrong, and if they were correct, then that suggest to me either you have something that interfering with the broswer, such as extensions/plug-ins apps, 3rd party anti virus/firewall, or something wrong with the broswer.

It's not a browser issue since it is also happening in my mobile steam app. I can log in properly with the same user and password to the steam client so it is not that i'm entering them wrong.
I enter user and password and get the error message. I got no 3rd party programs, extensions or plug-ins either, i tried logging in from firefox, chrome, internet explorer and still get the same error.

I don't know what to tell you, if you're not having trouble logging in on the client, then I say give this a try, open a game, open the Steam overlay, you should be automatically login, and try linking your Square Enix to your steam account that way, hopefully that might work.

Yeah, I wanted to install the game again, check things out. This wooden garbage security took all my will away. See you in next expansion I guess. Apparently I'm not wanted :D
