To answer your question, yes it can play TF2.
To expound on the answer, the Inspiron and G5 are designed as business/school laptops with gaming capabilities. So if you want a pure gaming laptop and haven't bought one already, then I would suggest looking elsewhere. If you do get/have one then you'll want a large SSD drive. The 2.5" HDD/SSHDD that comes with them are high-efficiency drives that will cause game stutters if used for game storage.
