Which IPs does Steam download from?
I block all outgoing HTTP traffic in my iptables firewall - the only hosts I allow HTTP traffic to are ones which only serve otherwise secured data, such as OCSP responders. Where can I find a list of hosts (IPs or hostnames) which Steam uses to download game data so that I can whitelist them?

NVM, there are links at https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711

Why not just whitelisting the Steam process itself? IPs can change. While CDNs don't operate on private DSL, they can restructure, adding new servers. A static list will sooner or later cause more trouble than good. Not that there's good to be had to begin with.

....Why do you do this... you're being too overly protected. it depends on which download region you pick; and they don't list the specific ips anywhere on the website.
