Report a translation problem
That allows you to filter out owned games, games marked as "not interested" and various other options.
Gives you a lot more options when you browse the store:

Even if you dont hide stuff it will show all owned games in green, all wishlisted in blue and so on for a better overview.
The main reason is that Valve is making changes and adding the features that Enhanced Steam supports.
Sooner or later, you'll probably see these exact features.
i dont care , for now i use enhanced steam ( browser is better for sales anyway since you can just open everything in new tabs on 2 or 3 monitors and compare) if valve adds all those features that would be awesome

It's unlikely to see them.
but valve knows how many games they have on steam they need to add a "dont show what i own alraedy" function , i mean , during a sale its normal theres a best deals page with some games you own already , but on a list of cheapest games, most relevant games , filtering out what you own is important
