Steam taking control of my controller in desktop/games with all controller settings off

So something weird has been happening lately. My controller (ps3 controller with SCP driver) has been 100% fine until now. It's still working fine for non steam games as well. But when I open Steam, even though I have no controller settings on it takes control and changes properties of my controller.

For example, when Steam is open, my R1/RB button becomes right click on my desktop. It does this as well as moving my mouse to the left as I hold R1/RB. It even messes me up in games now where pressing that button will have my camera rotating in 3rd person games where the mouse would've controlled the camera. Nothing has changed on my end, and I'm not sure how to opt out of controller settings that I never opted into. It also seems to open Big Picture at random. Really weird issue. Any help?

Had this happen with my DS4 a few months ago. I managed to solve it using DS4Windows and it's Hide DS4 option. SCP doesn't have that sort of option. I haven't used SCP for over a year and I know it stopped receiving updates long before that.

Only thing I can suggest is look into DS3windows to see if that has a hide DS3/exclusive option. On the plus side if DS3Windows works for you your BT device will be usable by other BT capable hardware

Thanks I'll give this a go if it happens ago. I "solved" it by deleting everything except Steam.exe and steamapps and refreshing all of the Steam files. Seems to be ok for now.
