Z-Rotation Not working on steam, using generic USB controller.
Windows is recognising z rotation(right analog stick up/down), but in steam it doesn't work. In big picture, the curor only moves left/right, and in games the camera only moves left/right, no up/down camera movement from right analog stick. Please help.

Ya I know. 😂.
I have been scouring the web for answers for last few weeks. And I only just found this thread. Hoping against hope that someone here can help. Plus, it will help anyone else having the problem in the future.😁 Cheers.

I have solved in a simple way. In the main configuration of the Big Picture interface, I click on the main controller configuration, then on the button Generic Controller. Here you have at the bottom of the page the possibility to modify the layout of the controller. By clicking on this button, you may see which control is associated to each button/pad/stick of the gamepad. In my case, X/Y axis of left stick were associated to axes 0 and 1, respectively, and X/Y axis of right stick were associated to axes 2 and 4. So I click on the Y axis of right stick and move vertically the right stick, which in turn automatically modify the axis to 3. Now game in Steam react exactly as Windows does as for gamepad controller. Hope this can help.

@sbassis76 your solution works!!! I just tried it and it worked. A+ for you, you amazing human being!

Another thing that could be recommended is to edit the registry of the joystick, by running the command "regedit" from Windows Run, then you follow the following path ---> Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_0079&PID_0006 afterwards you need to change the OEMName from whatever it currently is, to whatever the name of the device is when it connects to Windows and has its drivers automatically installed.

This additional step might not be required, so just try doing what @sbassis76 said first, and if it doesn't work, then you can try this additional step also.

thanks for the tip.. i followed this procedure but can't move the right stick vertically to axis 3. when i pressed the right joystick, it shows on screen button 3. now, the mouse pointer is acting weird. i tried with this layout and the rotation is out of control. and i am not moving the right joystick. any help at this point is appreciated.
