When I try to purchase Darksiders Franchise Pack, Steam does not let me giving an error message saying "Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.". But before this happened I did 5 transactions without any problem. And I used my card on a 3rd party web site and it is also working fine there. I also tried using one of my friends' card, it's also working. Then I tried to buy a different game but the result is the same. Then I contacted my bank and they said there's no problem with my bank account and my debit card. Plus I have enough funds in my bank account. I also checked the steam forums, a lot of steam users are having this issue. But seems no solution was find by them.

Can someone please help me with this?

First, i'd check your transaction history just to be sure for the reason that the error can be spit out randomly by the client since its known to play up.

I checked my transaction history. There is no pending transactions. And I also tried purchasing by logging in to steam on web and using the mobile app too. But both didn't work.

Apologies for not getting back to you any earlier.

All that i can think that in the case of your Credit Card working and not working in various locations, Valve, I assume has blocked it from their end possibly due to the source of funds changing over the course which i doubt, or they assume it as a fraud, which is unexplainable but it has happened.

So, the only offer i can suggest is to query Valve Support with a ticket and ask them if they have placed your card in lockdown and get them to remove the restriction, if there is.

How about this, get paypal account, link your credit card then use paypal on Steam.

If you're still getting declined by your credit card company, I highly recommend contacting your credit card company for what the issue even about.

That would depend on the OP really and it was said that the credit card company had no fault on their end.

But yes, Paypal could be a alternate solution though the OP should contact Support anyway, to clear issues that may occur later down the long run.

Read error message, did it say contact support? If so you contact support.

If this about entering your payment details, ensure you enter it correctly matching what you have provided to your payment method you're using.

Another way is using bank transfer such as PayPal, or etc, that you can link your payment method to, and use that on Steam if that is available choice for payment method.

I sometimes have issues with my valid debit card. I have found a way, but dont know if it is gonna work for you. I just tried to do the purchase on phone instead of pc and vice versa, and one device would let me while other one not. Its kinda weird and I dont understand it, but its Steam.

I have the same problem
First I tried to contact the bank and they told me they approved the transaction. Also, the bank did not blacklisted Steam. It's a trusted site and I can purchase with no restrictions.
Just to be sure, I made purchases on both Battlenet and Uplay and it worked. No problem with other platforms, just Steam
I submitted a ticket on steam but they having been able to help me yet.
