two devices using the same account at the same time
hello
my brother recently purchased a gaming pc while i have an old computer since 2007
i want to borrow him my account to play my games that my current computer can't run
im worried of my steam account getting locked down because valve would think it got hacked since 2 computers from 2 different regions are using the same account at the same time
what would happen ?

He would not be able to play your games if you are playing them.

If he wants to play a single player game, you go offline with your account before he starts playing.

Please note sharing accounts is against the SSA and the account can face restrictions and bans from it.

I really thought he was talking about Family Sharing.

You can set up family share to allow your brother access to your steam library when you're not using it.

As mentioned Steam can restrict your account for sharing. I wanted to add that while you may trust your brother there have been plenty of stories of peoples account being banned for cheating whilst a member of family or a friend used it. Sure these could be mere stories to shift blame but Im sure some will have been true.

Back in cs 1.6 I caught by younger brother cheating. I asked him several for a week while he denied cheating. I punched him. Thankfully he didnt do it on my account. Im still undecided whether he would have cheated on my account, if he had access to it. Either way it isnt worth the risk.

so the act of cheating is what make steam bans you not sharing the account
my brother is in his 30s so he is not just a child that will use cheats

Not just that there is also the fact that people will use it to buy games in a cheaper region or to bypass restrictions on where games are allowed to be bought and that it leaves huge holes in the accounts security that Steam will not accept any responsibility for.
