Rerouting games to external Hard Disk
The software has been copied to the external HD, but when I use the shortcut it still wants to rerout the game-software to the internal HD.
How can I prevent this and link the shortcut to the external HD?

When I download a new game directly to the external HD the shortcut works perfectly.

You don't want to play games off a external HDD, if you are low on space backup games to the external HDD you're not using and restore them when you want to play it.

Delete the original shortcut and create a new shortcut using the .exe at it's new location.

External drives are not ideal for gaming. Fine for moving games you're not currently to for storage while keep actively played games on internal drives.

We are talking about Steam Games right?
In that case just go to Steam > Library > Game > Properties > Local Files > Move

First make sure you have made a Steam Library Folder for your other Drive; Steam > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folder

As "Move" or "Install" will only show a Steam Library Folder you've created.
