Hey snapjak thanks man. How did you know it was a scam and why not to trade anything? Just asking..
Snapjak Aug 21, 2018 @ 11:49am
Because it is literally posted about every single day.

It's the current flavour-of-the-month scam.
Thanks Snapjak. I was literally panicking about it and was about to kill my friend. I really appreciate your help

Several telltale signs:
1. A warning in advance, no friggin' way it makes sense for Valve to warn perpetrators of a pending ban
2. The urge to give away your stuff cant be legit
3. Have you noticed how the "warning" is in the customizable profile text and not in an actual message?

I've just noticed about it. Yeah i'm a bit dumb and thanks for the help and answers :)

At least you didn't trade your things away, so you're already ahead of a lot of people who get that "warning".
What will happen if i've already traded my stuff away (I didn't but just curious)
Snapjak Aug 21, 2018 @ 11:58am
You won't get them back. Valve doesn't restore scammed items.
Wolf Knight Aug 21, 2018 @ 11:58am
trades are final, the items would be gone for good if you traded them.
@snapjak and @Wolf Knight. Thanks for the answers man. At least now i know about it :)
For the deauthorize all other devices part, do i also disable steam mobile authenticator?
