Only getting 5.5mb/s on Steam
I have a 55 mb/s internet speed and yet i can only get 5.5. This doesnt make sense an for speed tests i have 55 mb/s for the internet, and through other systems.\

Depends whether it says MB/s or Mb/s. You divide Megabits by 8 to get the real Megabyte speed. I somehow doubt that you would have 55 MB/s speed.

Steam ---> Settings ---> Downloads ---> Display download rates in bit per second

most people mistake speed and think that there is something wrong but in reality its all good

I honestly don't understand how someone can confuse that when they can see how quickly the download is going.

many people think if its like 55Mb/s so it has to download 55MB/s

Not the byte/bit info, but how fast the progress itself is going. You can visually see a bar/graph of some sort, that also fluctuates with the dl speed, so they would have noticed if it wasn't going the same speed as before just based on that.
