Configure Microphone window not showing up

This is very strange, but for each re-install I make on this machine, the Configure Microphone window will not pop up when I click the highlighted text in Settings>Broadcast>"Configure Microphone" to open it. Any reasons/solutions?

Solved: Open steam, click "friend & chat"in the bottom right, friends list window will popup, click settings in the top right, click voice...

^ I am there right now...but did they completely remove the TEST MIC feature? I am having difficulty balancing my mic with my soundboard...I can't tell if it is working in game and the TEST MIC feature was the easy way to figure that without a lot of headache.

mhm they did because of this.

that button does not show any mirophone configuration window but using the settings/voice tab in the friendslist works so that a good workaround.
