Date of activation
Hello guys, I wondered if steam is able to provide the date of activation of a key that is not mine.

For example a friend sent me a key for a game but it was already activated by someone else.
Can steam provide that info?

No. The key is used and steam won’t share that info, no reason to.

You're not able to receive that information.

The user that has activated the key will however have an E-mail stating when they did so.

And if he doesn't have that EMail -- the date can be found in his license list as well.

I do suspect that this about a scamming site selling used keys and asking victims for "proof" that the key has been activated before it was sold to them, though. So no "friend" anywhere, and thus no access to the account that actually owns the game.
