Remember My Open Chat option not working, anyone else?

For the past couple days, I've noticed that the Friends List Setting "Remember My Open Chats", isn't working as it has repeatedly failed to work as the chat window and the tabs that went with it never opened back up after logging in.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

Known issue that has been around for quite some time.

There were some threads in the past where it was emphasized.

I'll have to sift through some stuff to find those but it's the same thing being repeated.

hi im still getting this problem in 2025

i usually have a few friends with a tab open for each, and when i exit the main chat window and/or steam, they are always closed when i launch steam, and then sign back into friends.

i usually sign INTO friends when i want to chat etc, and sign OUT again when finished, (but the tabs are still open when i do this)
