I don't see why you had to necro this though.
Most likely their license to use Matrix related stuff expired and it would cost more money to renew it than they'd make through sales.
So, nothing will happen. Dead game is dead.
I'm not a Lawyer, of course, but I think they can 't sue me unless I release remasters of games in steam XD.so far, I just asked WB if they would like to do it . I'm thinking of asking a similar question to Atari. there is a reason to release games. if there is a game on Matrix 4, but it is very unlikely. So as time games on movies passed.
They own the license for the game. They CAN sue you.
You said you would be happy to release them. Implies publishing them.
