What is the best to get?
I am changing my mobo MSI Z97 PC mate, ddr3 16GB RAM and Intel Core i7 4790 3.60GHz processor for a mobo that supports ddr4 memory with an i5 8600k processor and 16GB ddr4 ram. What do you recommend me to get from this website? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/

Not much of an upgrade. Are you sure you wanna spend so much money on an upgrade you will barely notice? {LINK REMOVIDO}

If you want a small performance bump you could sell your I7 4790 and purchase a 4790k and overclock the hell out of it.

So you saying the i7 4790 is just as good as the i5 8600k?!

The i5 is better but not by much. Especially when DDR4 is insanely priced atm. The only real noticable upgrade in my opinion would be an 8th gen i7 or Ryzen 7 processor unless you plan to overclock the hell out of the i5. {LINK REMOVIDO}

When upgrading it's best to go up a tier. Your CPU and the I5 8600k are the same tier: {LINK REMOVIDO}

Btw why do you hate your motherboard so much Z97 boards support overclocking and were high end when they came out?
