dosbox - speed
Hi everybody.
Why is dosbox with some games sooooo slow?
I mean I can remember playing these games once with my old PC 386 with 40 MhZ.
And I could play it more fluently than now with dosbox and my super duper high end PC.

Can I toggle the speed of the dosbox / can I simulate a faster PC with DOS?

Try toggling all your cores off/on in Affinity in Task Manager for that process.
And try setting its Priority to High

I guessed that there was an option.
That would be work to set the cores each time I start dosbox.
I would do that. But I haven't found the settings in the task manager in my win 7.

Processes tab > right click the EXE
To toggle cores, go to Affinity, un-tick all cores, tick 1-core only, click OK, repeat the process and re-tick All Cores and click OK.

Just try the Priority > High first and see if that somehow helps. On some games/apps it very well can help sometimes.

You might have to do some tweaking.
