Fatal Error D3D device lost?
Really could use some help with this issue, but I'm new to forums and not really computer savvy. So here goes
Awhile ago my graphics card (1080) needed to be replaced so we sent it in to be fixed. After I got it back I keep having issues when trying to play games that are a bit more on the demanding side the games freeze after a few minutes and crash. Some don't give an error but recently I played Dragon Quest 11 and noticed when I set the frame rate to 30 (rather than 60) I don't get the error. Like I said I'm not very computer savvy and I don't know what would be required to help determine the cause but I would very much appreciate any and all help with this issue.
I have windows 10 and gtx 1080, 64 bit os, i7-6700k, 16 gb ram
The games I have noticed I have issues are Dragon Quest 11, Rust, Space engineers, and Civilization Revolution 5.
I have directx 12 if that helps

I tried the set launch option and it worked (for now at least). Thank you so much! I can finally play video games again! :D

Boy is my face red. I got the error again so back to square one. Driver is updated, set launch options, still not working.

i recommend you to install and run driver booster, It will install all the pending dependencies on your computer.
