Download Speed Suddenly Tanked
So I bought Killing Floor 2 with a couple friends and it was installing at an average of 8 mbps then it drops to an average of 900 kbps for no reason at around 20/22.7g... It had 5 minutes now it is going to take an hour. I paused the download and ran an internet speed test and got my normal 35 download 12 upload. I then changed my download region multiple times and restarted my computer. I want my good download speed back.

Its steam my internet speed is still good.

Periodically, you'd want to change your content servers if the rate goes down to that of a potato connection.

Tripwire Interactive now using same download method like Payday 2 have. It's extracting files same time while downloading, that's why it gets slower download speed partially. It's only depending your computer I/O speed

If it's patching, then that's going to depend on your CPU.

Check your CPU usage when the download seems to be using 0 KB.

If there's a considerable amount of usage, leave it!
