Recently I've been having this issue where this has always came up whenever I want to post a comment? Usually when this happens it doesn't last long, but now it's be a week and nothing I've done has fixed it. Any help?

Usually, server-sided issues would result in this.

Does it happen EVERY time or just sporadically?

Have you tried using a web browser instead of client and see if there's a difference?

Clear your client's web browser cache [and cookies] as a start and restart the program.

yeah I tried the web brower, didn't go so well.

seems to be only be comments on profiles/workshop/etc.

I used to have this issue every time as well (commenting on artworks, group announcements, screenshots , profiles etc) and I somehow over time noticed it says i cannot comment, i refresh the page and then says "validating your login" and then after its done i can comment normally (just had to do it every time). Now its not happening, suddenly. I assumed it was because of my internet connection being not very great at times.

In that case, the client has dropped connection or in your web browser, the connection was interrupted.

The login session needed to be validated again which is done by refreshing the page.
