Since my.com took over, I am not sure if they will allow it. Crytek never allowed unlinking.
Maybe they have different agreements with {LINK REMOVED}My.com than they did with Crytek.
I want to unlink it because they disabled access to their marketplace (not Steam's) for Steam users due to some players commiting fraud with stolen credit cards, this was over 5 months ago.
Recently they enabled it only for non-Steam users, even though the access to the marketplace is paid (I paid for 3 different global operations, each granting access to the marketplace).
Not sure why Steam still allows them the game to be in their platform, since the company is selling you things through their platform, and then taking it away with no ETA on when it'll return.
Steam is basically a passive 3rd party in this. They couldn't unlink the account even if they wanted to, because Steam doesn't do anything when companies "link" your account.
References to a "Steam policy" preventing the unlink are either a blatant lie, or a misunderstanding on YOUR side as they might have referred to THEIR Steam policy.
