what gpu is better?
Hello all
My pc has a i5 4th gen and 8gb ram
but i dont know what gpu is better to use for xsplit.
Currently i use a nvidia gt 605 but in task mamager i see its on 100% almost the entire time when i stream.
I have a nvidia quadro 600 laying around, is that 1 better then the gt605?
They both have 1gb vram but i dont know anything else.
Edit: this is al about the stream pc recieving the elgato signal from my game pc. just so u know i dont game on the same pc

Funny isnt it? That quadro 600 is so bad that simply removing it would be an upgrade.

Except you seemed to of missed the entire point of this thread. Did you read any of it? The OP is using this machine for stream transcoding from another machine and needs nvidia acceleration for streaming software. Which the Intel iGPU can not provide. So they actually need the quadro, if it's all they already have. The OP already stated they aren't gaming on this computer.

They asked which of the two cards was faster, so I answered their question directly. No matter how fast it is, the Intel iGPU in this computer is pointless for their needs.

oke thx, i will use the quadro then

Whats your cpu? A lot of 4th gen cpus have intel hd 4600 which is much faster than gt605 and that quadro 600.

I thought the all have 4600. The intel igp stopped to differ between K/non-K models at 3rd gen.

neither are for gaming
the quadro has its own vram which gives it an edge
but the 600 is from 2010, baed on the gf 4xx series (weaker than the gt430)

its a toss up

the gt605 is also weaker than the gt430

for stream capture/encoding the intel hd 4600 does fairly well

id try with the quadro for game/desktop capture and intel hd encoding

or pick up a gt1030 for under $100 which would stomp on all of them

well my game pc allready is good.
it has a i7 8700k and a RX 480 8GB version
its just that the gpu in the stream pc is on 100% all the time, and when i stream on xsplit it gives warning of high cpu usage

cpu = processor
gpu = graphics card
Not sure if you mixed them up or made a typo.

i know what these mean...
xsplit doesnt give a a GPU warning as far as i know, i gives a CPU warning, because thats also atleats above a 70% all the time, but the GPU is on a 95% or more when i am live streaming

It's normal when your gpu is at 100%. That means its being fully used to its potential
