A bunch of my games I have been playing are missing from my library.
I purchased a few games (Portal 1&2, Left 4 dead 1&2) during the 2017 summer sale for wife and I to play together. We played them together. Some I played alone. Also we bought 2 copies of Fallout 4 at Target and activated them through Steam. We played them as well.

A few weeks ago though, all of those games have dissapeared from my library. My wife still has hers in her account and accessible. I do not.

I tried to launch Fallout 4 and re-entered my Key from the packaging, but it says it is pre-used. "That's right it is pre-used because it is used by me and I have dozens of hours logged on it!"

I've tried navigating the labaryingth of support to get some kind of help or submit a ticket or email or whatever to try to get this resolved. This Forum is the closest I could come. Searching the forum didn't help eitherso here I am submitting a post to annoy others with.

Sorry to bother you all with my game problem but I'm hoping some moderator will actually turn this into a submittable ticket for help or something to get me access back to my games.

Thanks for your time,

Anthony

You are on the wrong account.

Possibly this one:

Check your emails for receipts. Look at the username in them, compare to the one you used to log in.
Thanks for the reply. That is actually my son's account. He has a ton more games than I do, including all of these games that I'm missing. He had them long before I did.

This is the only account I have and they were here before. Any other ideas? Any way to make this an actual ticket for Steam Support to try to find what is going on?
double check you are on the right account.. sometimes people forget they have more than one registered to the same e-mail

Thanks for the link. It shows all the current games I have access to. It doesn't show these missing games, but I did have them before. I evgen have the CD Key right here for Fallout 4 but it says it is used.
Did you actually check to see if you have another account, or are you assuming?

Do all the people on your friendlist match?
I had the GreatAroo account that Snapjak posted and that got 'adopted' by my son years ago. I haven't used it in over 5 years. My wife has an account as we game together.

This is my only account. I played these games on this account (seeing my other games like DeusEx and Divinity) each time we would play. Then I go back to play Fallout recently, and I notice it isn't there. Neither is L4D or Portal. I still have Portal 2 Walkthroughs saved on in my Gmail account from August when I played through the campaign.

This is the right account. I have no other.
That doesn't answer the question.. did you actively go check to see if you have another you forgot, or are you assuming

And is your friendlist intact?

If you want help, these are the kind of questions you need to be able to answer
How would I check if I have another account?

My friends list has my wife and son as it always had. No other Steam friends.

If memory serves you go to the forgot login info wizard and use any possible emails
Like Snapjak said, check your email for an old purchase receipt. It will contain the login name of the account you bought the game with.
I have actually used the login Wizard recently, but I have no other emails. I only use the one. (My wife has several and forgets what she logs in with on some services, but I only have the one email I use for everything.)

That's another thing. I can't find the receipt of the purchase in my Gmail. I save everything and this purchase is not there. Well that sure sounds like it must be on another email address, but I don't have one.

To be sure, I just reset my password on my Microsoft backup email (in case I get locked out of Gmail) which I never use, and logged into it. It doesn't have anything either. I have no idea of any other emails I might have.

Now it sure sounds like I didn't purchase the games at all, but I played them on my computer on this Steam account with my wife playing on her computer (L4D2). I also played through Portal 2 on my own. I definitely purchased them.

My wife has her email on July 5th 2017 (same time as we purchased together). It shows the following (copied from her email):

But the account I linked only has 8 games. It also hasn't seen activity for 230 days now.
This is a user forum. There's not much of anything anyone here can do for you. The only suggestion would be to find your receipts. If you can't find the receipts then find your credit card statements to try and figure out what purchases were made. Without transaction info or receipts, then effectively there's no purchase.

OK. Now we're getting somewhere? What the hell is this account? I notice one of my DeusEx games is listed in this account as well. I was wondering why I haven't seen that in my main account but never really thought about it as I already finished the game.

However, there are only 2 games I see listed there: DeusEx Mankind Divided and ScrapMechanic. I don't see my Portal or LFD or Fallout game there?

My son's account is also under the name GreatAroo as it was my old gaming name and I think that is the login of his account with 80+ games. He shared them with me on this computer when he was here this weekend. and they are listed under his name GreatAroo. I know there are login/username differences and think that is what is going on here.

Problem is he has his own Portal / L4D and Fallout games that he bouight himself. He purchased Fallout through Steam while I bougth mine at Target with my wife). My 'other' GreatAroo account doesn't have them, and neither does this one. What account did I play them on?

I would like nothing more than to get someone from Steam to actually look at this and try to help me get it back to normal, but apparantly there is no way to contact them or submit a ticket.

((I seriously appreciate all this help from everyone. Thanks a ton!))
