I give no lenience to arch-capitalistic companies. You want my money, then have your ♥♥♥♥ work and stop stealing my time.
Steam had been a service that has had a very high customer satisfaction. They're not exactly doing their best right now, trying to keep that position and if someone with a little more dedication was to step forward, I'd not be surprised if Steam lost the position of #1 PC gaming platform in a rather short amount of time.
+ If they think they have to pry into my tendencies so much that it leads to their servers not being able to handle all the requests of creating a matching list for my interests, then they should either engage in a secondary means of creating those lists under high server workload (or create more in advance) or they should stop trying to pry into user preferences that much that it overloads their assigned servers or they should ready up more processing power for this feature.
It sickens me to have all those apologists for every failure of any BS capitalist company out there. I'm not a co-worker, I'm a customer.
You may just want to give advice on how to cope with this, which is ok, but I don't think you should or should have to. I may not have the time to check back for this in a few hours, I want Steam to think that and I don't want to solve their problems.
Yes, their algorithm is definitely broken.
