No Description Pop-Up When Hovering Over Game in store screen

So, unless something has changed in an update recently, I think my client is bugged. It used to be, every time I would hover the mouse pointer over a game in the Steam Store, it would bring up a small description of the game along with the review percentages.

Was that feature removed from the client, or is mine just bugged?

Found this post searching for the same thing. It makes looking at a bunch of games so much more difficult - I liked to find things by quickly eyeballing the tags, the reviews, and a little screenie to see if I had any interest. At this point, it's far more difficult to look through lists of things with the lack of oversight on how much garbage can stream into the store, so I'm probably not going to bother checking out games I don't already know of. I didn't save nearly enough in this sale to justify how long I had to click through game after game only to see that a cursory look would have ruled them out. It was beyond tedious.

The problem presents on three PC's for me, both Beta and non-Beta, so, I would assume Valve want us to click through. Rather unfortunate.

Unfortunate, but I'm glad it isn't just me.
And yes, same here, I haven't bought anything from the sale yet because of this.
The pop-up listed everything that's a deciding factor for me when looking to buy a game, (review percentages, tags, and descriptions).
It's such an important feature, I can't imagine that they would've removed it on purpose... it must be a glitch of some sort.

It's on purpose to lower the strain on the servers.

Yup; I'm in the same boat. Not going to bother purchasing any games during this massive sale right now (Endless Playability Sale). It's not worth waiting 5-10 minutes for the video previews to load on steamdb.info

Have you tried deleting Steam's web browser data in the settings?

Or even Steam > Settings > Interface >>> uncheck Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views (requires restart).
