One way to earn money by gems is getting a stack of 1000 and then sell it.
Another way is by trading it for items, I think it's much more harder but it could profit you more than just selling a stack.
For the 1st question - I think it doesnt really matter if you have a lot of friends, and to recognize people on your steam friends just add a name tag to them. e.x:" Bob (Trade for Cards) "
2nd question - asking from random people free stuff isn't a good way to get gems, this can trigger some people to call you a begger/report you. Instead find some people in thereads that need help. Try to help them and ask kindly (after you finish helping them) to give you their gems/trash.
3rd question - Probably the price.
4th question - Same as 3rd question, if you see something that it's price is low, e.x 3 cents than you can salvage it if you want.
5th question - there are some ways to get trading cards for free, you can sell them/salvage them for gems. I recommend you checking - freesteamkeys . com - there are free giveaways of freebies games. Some of them have trading cards and you can use idle master or any other card idling program you want to use to get those cards.
6th question- Trading, lets say you want to get a stack of gems (1000 gems) and sell it you will only get something like 1 dollar or even less.
7th question- I didn't really understand this question, but if you mean to gain exp to level up the account i suggest you to craft badges.
There's no quick/easy way to earn gems.
Only participating in the sale events gets you free drops/items you can convert to gems.
I do know there is no way have a higher frequency or to gain xp by playing game....
well i guess in a sense, yeah i wanted to say frequency. as of right now i'm eligible for about 15 ish game, and i have 3-5 games that i'm not eligible for a booster pack. is it worth to play those 3-5 games and be eligilbe to get a booster so i have a higher chance to get a booster if someone craft a badge of one of those games, eventhough they aren't popular
i didn't quite get that part
