Ok how to say this nicely. That system is WAY out of date. Like ancient times.
That is a nearly 12 year old CPU, combined with 2 generations old DDR 2 RAM. (DDR 4 is the current standard). No dedicated graphic card to speak of.
To be brutally honest, its time for a new computer. At least if you want to game in any kind of serious capacity.
With the current system you are basically tied to 2D games and even then only very low ressource heavy ones like the dating sims you dont like. Or very old 3D games, before 2005 or so and even then i would not gurantee they will run well.
There is also not much point in trying to upgrade that system, its just too old.
Even a cheap 400-500 bucks prebuild system will totally wipe the floor with your old one.
What is your budget for a new pc?
At most you could get a GT 1030 and at least play something.
Even that gpu will be held back by your cpu.
The dell is old as eff. I wouldn't throw any penny into it..
Build a new one for gaming with current gen tech.
What about your budget btw?
A decent one with current gen tech for your goal is ~ $500-600.
The reality is dual core is dead and even if you had an old PII x4 you'd be better off vs what you have.
You should be able to play 1280x720p at some low demanding game.
If you like these kind of games I suggest you Sakura Angels or Negligee, these games would run even on your current PC.
70$ for GT 730 is horrible deal when you can get GT 1030 for 80-90$....
1030 is horrible compared to a 1050 and this compared to a 1060.
He said he can't afford expensive GPUs.
Plus a 1030 would be bottlenecked by CPU.
Exactly, but it still doesn't make 730 something that should be bought.
If something has to be bought, it will have to be 1030 to get at least some monetary value out of the purchase.
Well, it would. But that's about it. For anything else higher, the cpu will limit you.
Yes.
kind regards
