Steam keeps asking for my date of birth
Everytime I try to go to the page of a mature rated game it always asks for my DOB. I remember I did not always have to fill it in becuase it use to just read my DOB from my profile but now everytime I go on it reads "1st january 2018". Is there a way to change it so evrytime I go on it just read my actual DOB instead of having to fill it in everytime?

In your internet browser you can use a addon called "Enhanced Steam". It will automatically enter a random date over 18 and confirm it, so you dont have to do anything but wait a second or so when you hit the age gate.

No it is bugged. When using Steam client anyway.

Simple example :

I can go to Conan Exiles forums without having to enter my bday, because I did it before. But when I am browsing the forums and enter a thread and use the back button to get back to the last page I was, I get the bday question again. Even though it is not supposed to come up again.

There are more ways that you can get the question back for games that you entered it already in the same session ( it is not supposed to happen twice in the same session for the same game).

Not to mention that it is a flawed design in the first place (from a legal pov). While you can't visit a certain game's storepage without a bday check, you can start that same game without a bday check.

Maybe this was all meant for the browser, but for the Steam client it just does not work right and legally makes no sense in how it works now.

No alternative yet?

This is ridiculous. After all, for 'legal reasons' or whatever steam does something worse- in the settings you can let steam not blur/block pictures from products tagged adult (storepages and community, either way).

Wich btw would be grounds for something worse then a kid opening a app he/she shouldn't- after all such settings make things appear in the store FRONT, community wall, etc.

If i turned off any and all censorship (and steam have my age) this just doesn't make any sense, no matter how they paint it. If its some specific legal detail... well, im certain thats a country thing- if steam adjust to so many regional things, making the entire world be annoyed everytime they check a page because 1 country would open grounds to action... this is bs.

Q: Why do you KEEP asking my damn age throughout the store?

A: We're with you on this. Unfortunately, many rating agencies have rules that stipulate that we cannot save your age for longer than a single browsing session. It's frustrating, but know we're filling out those age gates too.
