when you backup your games does it take mods and custom files into account?
im backing up all my stuff so i can do something with my storage that requires it to be empty and so i am backing my games up through steam however im not sure if it takes all of your mods and custom settings into account since ive never done this before. i hope it does because that always the worst part of wiping your storage since it takes forver to download all the mods again and its hard to remember what i had installed previously

Unforunately it does not for VALVE games. Please see https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8794-yphv-2033 for more information. I would run the backup and check if the files are there.

I'll just manually back up custom files
