steam and china

i'm a student in china have purchased PUBG on steam but cannot play it, cuz it requires a very good VPN connection. i even don't have a VPN problem as i have an Astrill account. but many times it lags. the connection throught VPN isn't stable at all. any suggestions guys? howdo i play PUBG without using VPN in steam in china? orelese which exact protocol of Astrill should i being following for better connectivity?

Play without the VPN or don't play it.

The government blocked the community access to Steam there.

I guess you can wait until the Chinese version of the Steam client to come out...?
