How to get the first launch options window again ?
On most games, when you launch it for the first time, you get a little window where you choose game resolution and other rendering/input options.

I have a terrible PC, so on first launch of FlatOut 2 (I used to play it a lot, it's a real pleasure to play it again ^^), I got this little setup window, and set the resolution to something close to 720p (there wasn't exact 1280*720) on my 1080p screen.
It turned out that the game runs incredibly well despite the lack of dedicated GPU on my computer, so I wanted to change the resolution to 1920*1080. But I couldn't get the setup window again.
I tried using the game launch options, with no success, and also "verify local files", still nothing.
I don't want to reinstall the game, as it's 2.6 GB, and I don't have a good connexion (<3 MB/s)

There should be something to open this wizard again, like an option when you right-click the game in the library list or the play button : "launch startup options"

Have a great day !

hey I hope I'm not too late, I've been having the same issue with Flatout 2 too and I figured out how to fix it:

1. open Steam and go to library > Flatout 2 > manage > browse local files
2. find a folder named "Savegame"
3. delete the following files: device.cfg and options.cfg
4. launch the game on Steam, and the first-launch configuration window will show up.

Note: do not delete any of the other files if you don't want to lose your game progress! Just to be safe, copy the Savegame folder before deleting the files inside it. Hope this helps, it worked for me. Also screw that guy telling you to get a better PC lol

Look in the game's folder, see if it has a launcher.

I recommend get a better desktop. Upgrade yourself easier for your gaming needs.

There is no launcher to this game.

I can't even afford a better internet connexion, do you really think I have enough money to buy a computer ?

Ask in the game forum. Theres no universal way.

You're not late as for the computer I'm using, it's still the same. However I have upgraded my storage unit and RAM since then, and learned to optimise my softwares, so that I'm pretty sure I'd be able to run CyberPunk 2077 on that little laptop. OK maybe I'm betting slightly too much with that game. But still, I run a highly modded Cities:Skylines, Astroneer, and some other games with no problem. I don't even have Planet Coaster or BeamNG set to the min graphics. Basically if the "minimum requirement" is a 970 or lower, I'm able to run it somewhat decently.

Anyways. This is still some useful information, in case anyone needs it.
