and libaray -> right click on game -> edit steam controller config
go thru all tabs and set to defaults
if using a link or home streaming controls, steam overlay needs to be enabled for the remote controller to work
hold on, do I go into the steam files or just steam itself? what do you mean with go thru all tabs and set to defaults? please help asap bro
These steps may be true other games but this is specific to NMS. When at the page where you see the controller and it says Official Configuration for No Mans Sky, press X (I use xbox one/360 controller), hit recommended, then select one of the two options. It instantly applied it and I decided Ill figure it out how to change the config later. Hope this helps, cheers.
You really gonna get ownd vs mouse and keyboard users
You just need to go to the button you want to change, then on click action, and at the bottom click on "toggle multi-button on", then select the actions you want and done ;) hope it helps
You are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ saint I've been looking for this for 3 days now thank you, Valve really needs to make that config more clear.
I play with a mouse when I'm being sweaty, when I'm just chilling I play with a controller aha
You helped us both fix the most annoying control decision in the game! Thank you, so much!
I was baffled why I couldn't find an option for toggle multi-button.
Leave the game completely, in Steam (not big picture mode) look to the right where there's the "Links" list (Community Hub, Achievements, etc) at the bottom it says Contrller Configuration. THAT is what you need to use to get the damn thing working properly.
I'd been bashing my head against a wall for nearly an hour until a friend helped me with that.
