Giajin Malware
Gamemaker Giajin, maker of Warthunder and Cuisine Royale, is injecting some fishy software into their games. Giajin launcher is automatically installed without permission of the user and it stays installed after steam install. The program lies in a hidden folder in the appdata folder within the windows user profile. It downloads game content and seeds it to other users automatically, along with the fact that it opens automatically on startup. It also embeds itself deep into the registry within your computer. I urge Valve to take action against this shady developer and warn users about this unsolicated use of their internet.

Same is true for Origin, Uplay or Steam itself, it gets installed piggybacking, not uninstalled (unless you uninstall it explicitly) and runs on startup.

Requires 3rd-Party Account: Gaijin.net (Supports Linking to Steam Account)
Requires agreement to a 3rd-party EULA
Cuisine Royale EULA
Nothing more to add.

This doesn't have an uninstaller, none of those install into your appdata which is typically hidden, and all of those have uninstallers. They also don't seed files automatically on startup to other PC's.

not that hidden , just press Win+R and type %AppData% (and go back once if it sends you to roaming

The launcher can be uninstalled through add/remove programs and you can also disable P2P/seeding and/or automatic updates in the launcher itself.

Gasp. Crisis averted.

That is a hidden folder. The average user wouldn't know that.

Actually, it cannot be removed via that because if you attempt to delete the folder, the registry edits it put into place install it back.

That's not the registry doing but some software running on your PC.
Please inform yourself on what the registry is and what it does and why it can not act by itself.
