ATS Workshop mods...

any mod that i subscribe too on American Truck Simulator will download but won't work in game or even show up for that matter. I've gone in to the mod manager and deactivated all mods except the truck im really trying to use and the truck still wouldn't show up.

is there something im missing or not doing right? any help would be great

It's highly likely you're downloading truck skins instead of trucks. It's hard to find trucks on the workshop.

Agreed. Most of the skinners put a picture of their skin applied to the relevant truck. At first glance it does look like it a truck mod, but users should always check what category that particular workshop mod is in.

Yea, they're very few actual trucks in the workshop.

You could try doing a search for "GTM" (without the quotes). Mike has a few trucks there at the WS. Pretty good mod too.

Since so many skins (and even other mods) are tagged into the 'Truck' category by the modder, that's pretty much now a useless category.

What do you mean not working? I was doing some single player runs earlier and all of the GTM trucks were working for me.

Edit: After you click subscribe you have to enable the mod in the mod manager. If you haven't done this, there is your reason why they didn't show up in their respective dealership.

Are you saying that the trucks don't show up in the dealerships or in the list of mods in the mod manager? And you never did say specifically which trucks, it might help to know that...

That is only the brand of the trucks. You need to say the model number of the mod itself so players can check which mods you are subscribing to. There are 2 Kenworth trucks which are in the game, one is the W900 and the other is the T689 so they are identified by their model number and not just by the brand of Kenworth.

I've done that. I activated just the Kenworth W900B by itself and it still didnt show up.

I think your problem is that you have been subscribing to skins.

This is the truck and the mod you need to subscribe to and it has been updated to work with 1.31 and if you are using the current version of the game then it should show up in the dealership.

It does get confusing when there are so many skins (paintjobs) in the workshop when looking for trucks but you need to check the details of the mod by reading the description and also the comments. I am not using either mod but I hope this helps.
