Adding Half Life 1, Opposing Forces and Blue Shift key to Steam

I purchased Half Life 1, Opposing Forces and Blue Shift in it's time, which came each one with a product key; some of them have the followinf pattern 1234-123456-1234 (four-six-four numbers), while another is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
The problem is when (in steam) I want to activate a product in Steam and try to enter any of the original keys, it says they are wrong, so do any of you know how to activa my games?
I must stress than my keys are legit.

Were the games new and sealed and are they the only codes in the box?

Even though they are legit they aren't Steam keys so there isn't really anything you can do,

J4MESOX4D, sorry that I didn't read your answer well (in the first time); yes, the games were sealed each one with a CD and the code printed.

The old old keys worked at some point.

Rather, the HL1 key used to work. OPFOR and Blue Shift were not redeemable. HL1 just gave the platinum pack, as far as I remember.

Some of the early games were published by Sierra and never worked on Steam.

Keep your eyes on the Valve Complete Pack which pops up in the sale regularly - it was 92% off in the summer sale recently and contains all of Valve's games https://isthereanydeal.com/game/valvecompletepack/info/

That's probably the best deal you can find. The games are also available seperately or in branded bundles i.e Portal Bundle, Half Life Bundle etc and are also cheap.

Minor correction: both (Sierra) Half-Life and (Sierra) Blue Shift keys were redeemable. Rumour has it that Gunman Chronicles keys were also valid for some weird reason.

The only way you'll probably get a real solution to the problem would be to submit a ticket to steam and provide proof of purchase that authenticates the keys are real and were in fact purchased and not randomly generated or typed out, traded for previously via game trading, etc..

Once you submitted a legitimate ticket and provided them with as much info about the keys at hand, they are pretty good and will usually grant them or the games for which the keys are for to your account.
