Steam not detecting library folder.
Hey, guys.
So to start off, my computer knows that the folder's there, and most of my games are installed, but Steam refuses to believe it (I know, lol). Even in the "Downloads" section, within the folder directory where it shows where the Steam Library folders are, it doesn't exist; my drives are all A-OK, but nothing's showing up with Steam.

Here's the proof that the folder exists and that Steam doesn't show it; https://imgur.com/a/Bbw2CMM

Click add library folder and select the seteam library folder on the d drive.
This.

If that fails for whatever reason. [Steam > Exit]

Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps
Open libraryfolders.vdf with WordPad

Add this in after ContentStatsID
"1" "D:\\SteamLibrary"
Save and restart Steam.

I already did that, otherwise the folder wouldn't exist in the D drive.

This is what I've got in there;
"LibraryFolders"
{
"TimeNextStatsReport" "1532543260"
"ContentStatsID" "6185019975333514998"
}

Where do I add it at?

He means you have to RE-add the library, sometimes steam buggs for me as well and i have the same problem

I usually solve it by attempting to install a new game and then clicking to change in wich steam library i want to do it in, and selecting the library on the D: Drive and suddenly all my games are back

Right under the ContentStatsID line.

I'm having the same issue add the Steam Library to E: and in the steamapps libraryfolders.vdf this is what I have

"libraryfolders"
{
"0"
{
"path" "D:\\Steam"
"label" ""
"contentid" "5486472761736909423"
"totalsize" "0"
"update_clean_bytes_tally" "97744909272"
"time_last_update_corruption" "0"
"apps"
{
"228980" "161903645"
"392160" "22648442018"
"489830" "15345519558"
"1029690" "97715697099"
}
}
"1"
{
"path" "E:\\SteamLibrary"
"label" ""
"contentid" "7279219494410820428"
"totalsize" "3000591446016"
"update_clean_bytes_tally" "0"
"time_last_update_corruption" "0"
"apps"
{
}
}
}
Still the downloads stops and then all I get is the resume buttons shows.

What worked for me was going into the Steam settings, then downloads, then clicking on "Steam Library Folders". Once I was in that menu I just the plus icon and selected the steam library folder in my D:\ drive.

Hopes this helps to the people who are still looking at this :D

When I open my steam settings and go to downloads, there isn't even an option for the steam library folders :/

The library folders can also be in Storage, underneath the Downloads Option. It has a little harddrive icon.
