3DMark Won't Launch at All
Hello, there!

This is my first time on this forum (at least in a while), so please bare with me. On June 4, 2018, I decided to buy 3DMark - because I had always wanted to be able to tag along with others in benchmarking. I went on and installed the software to my laptop, only to find that it wouldn't get past the 3DMark loading screen.

Laptop Specs (HP ProBook 6475b):
- CPU :: AMD A10-5750M
- GPU :: AMD Radeon HD 8650G (APU graphics)
- RAM :: 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 SO-DIMM
- STR :: 2TB 5400rpm SATA 2 HDD
- OS :: Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) v1803

NOTE :: I had (and still have) the latest OS updates and AMD drivers for the GPU.

After a few hours of attempting to troubleshoot the game (reinstalling the game, reinstalling SystemInfo, etc.), I went on and made a last-ditch effort to see if the game simply needed more time to finish setting itself up. I allowed it to 'load' for ~5 hours straight, to no avail. After this attempt, summer college courses had started, so I had no time to touch the thing.

Late last night, I decided, yet again, to see if i could get the software to work on a different computer - the 'new' workstation.

Workstation Specs (Dell Precision T7500):
- CPU :: 2x Intel Xeon X5680's
- GPU :: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
- RAM :: 48GB (12x4GB) DDR3 ECC REG DIMM
- STR :: 2TB 7200rpm SATA II HDD
- OS :: Windows 10 Enterprise (64-bit) v1803

NOTE :: I have the latest OS updates and GPU drivers for this machine as well.

Once the installation had completed, I went on and fired up 3DMark again - only to encounter the same issue again. On both computers, I had Java installed and updated to the latest version, and had no overclock or undervolt applied. Earlier today, I attempted to get a refund, but was unable to (due to the 2-hour 'play-time' limit that I had exceeded while waiting for the software to load). At this point, I am also unable to give the steam key away, leaving me with a wasted 39 USD (DLC included) and no way to use 3DMark.

I'm planning on getting either a GTX 1060 6GB or GTX 1070 in a week, but I'm not of the opinion that switching from a Dx11-capable GPU to a Dx12-capable GPU will alleviate the issue I am having. I haven't been able to successfully open the game at all - which is a bit disappointing. I have no other options other than to either come here for help, or take the cash loss. Please help...

Did you ask in the 3D Mark forum here on Steam? The developers are very active there and usually try to help out pretty fast with any technical problems.
