What games can my computer run / handle well?
I have been having trouble finding games to play that work well on my computer. I suspect that main issue is with the processor, which is an "AMD E-350 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics" which has 1.6GHz speed and 2 cores. I have used sysreqslab for games and usually the only part that it says is insufficient is the CPU.

I like all sorts of games, so if you can think of any recommendations then go right ahead! If not, a way to search for games would also be appreciated.

Doom (1993) with PrBoom Source Port
Quake
Maybe Quake HD Texture Pack?

Anything from before 2000.
Haha, I'm not opposed to trying classics. My computer is 7 years old though, so most games for before 2011 could possibly work?
It's irrelevant how old the computer is, it's the performance of the hardware that matters. A computer from 2018 could also be inferior enough to manage any game from 10 years ago.

A good idea would be to have a glance at minimum system requirement at the bottom of store page, please yourself by calmly browsing through games and perhaps you'll come across a lovely fitting one!
As said above, the performance of your pc is so low, that the best you can do, are games from roughly 2005 or older.

The AMD E350 is equal to Pentium 4, a cpu from almost 20 years ago.

I figure that since I can run games like terraria (2011) and feel the snow (2016), release date / age of a game isn't as relevant as one might think. It may be true that older games require less from a computer, but not all newer games require the best of their year systems.

Also, good luck finding a computer made in 2018 that can't run any game from 2008. On a similar thought, perhaps this is not the right place to ask such questions, if the replies will only be exaggerated and hastily created.

Indie games like those are complete different thing tho. They are made fairly quick by small developer. And meant to be able to run on anything. But even then, modern game engines themselves can make even simple games like those fairly demanding.

You can also still find new pcs (laptops) which can't run some of the games from 2008.
Those are usually the lowest end laptops, equipped with weak dual-core Intel Celeron N3050.

Let's take something like Portal 1 as example. You have no hope running that game on a laptop like those. While the cpu fits the requirements, the integrated Intel HD gpu doesn't.
Unless you drop the resolution under the native resolution.

Run can mean different things to different people.

Most people will not consider 20fps at lowest possible settings as Running.

Not sure if you're looking only for games on Steam or not, but your PC should be able to handle old emulated games well. I have a bunch of old original NES games on Nestopia emulator. If you search on youtube you'll find a bunch of tutorials on how to install the software and rom's...

Is the gpu the same thing as cpu? When I check if I can run a specific game, it will sometimes say my video card (Radeon HD 6310) has no problems.
