My steam account says it's level 0 even though I'm level 50.

Usually that happens when there's issues with the back end on steam. It usually resolves itself later dont' worry about it

those profile levels dont really mean anything ,
it's not like you get a discount buying games or anything

Well my background and featured badge would just not show and I could not access much of my profile. Not just my steam level.

I guess it's just a glitch or something.

I shouldn`t worry, someone else had the same issue a few days ago here and it seemed to be caused because the servers were offline briefly for maintenance, just wait a little and it should right itself.

steam is even more crappy atm than usual, its a bug. you have to refresh profile like a million times, then it will eventually display your lvl correctly.

This has been happening for days now, not related to any steam maintenance time. This is also just one of the symptoms of the recent crappy steam performance.
