Use a wifi signal app thing on your smartphone to try see where the signal is good, better and so on. Here is a good one for android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vrem.wifianalyzer&hl=en
Found this with a quick google: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/40252-42-wifi-card-disconnect-game-launch
Good tips there, newer wifi drivers could be huge.
Worst case get a new router or a new wifi card. Maybe even powerline ethernet adapters. https://www.pcworld.com/article/2868314/home-networking/the-essential-guide-to-buying-a-homeplug-ethernet-adapter-including-6-hands-on-reviews.html
Google for the name of your wifi thing and the problem.
