mic feedback problem

so for some reason everytime i used Skype or Discord my friends said that they can hear their own voice sometimes (feedback) even though my headset is far away from my mic) any help?

Well what ive noticed if you go to steam at top left and go to settings then voice and do recieve voice it messes with your computers mic but it could also a internal mic problem. Hope i Helped.

Sounds like an Open Mic problem. Your mic is set to detect your voice I assume? Your speakers are probably loud enough that it's picking up and playing back what it's hearing from them.

A quick fix would be switching to Push to Talk.

what's the difference between receive volume and mic volume?

Receive = The volume at which you will hear other Mics; aka other Players in games. This allows you to turn down the VoIP from others, if they are too loud.

Mic = Your Mic capture volume.
