What will happen if Family Sharing has been revoked?
I haven't done this feature before but my previous friends have. There were some changes about Family Sharing so I'm sure its not what its supposed to be unlike before.

My email account has been hacked however my steam account is still intact. I'm planning to migrate to another fresh steam account while using my main account's library. I'll be doing that for the meantime before purchasing games for my secondary account which will be my main later on.

Here are my main concerns so far:
Account (A) - Owns copies of game
Account (B) - No games owned

What will happen if Family Sharing is revoked?
  1. will Account (B) still have Account's (A) games but unable to play due to the lack of permission?

    • IF that's the case then will Account (B) remove Account's (A) library in its library to get rid of the unplayable game?

    • OR Account (B)'s library will automatically be cleared because Family Sharing has been revoked?

  2. If Account (A) and (B) aren't friends on Steam, will still be able to share their games?

  3. What about Account (A) and (B) blocking each other but still friends on Steam? will they still be able to use Family Sharing?

  4. If Account (B) got caught cheating using Account's (A), will both account get VAC Banned or only Account (A)?

2. Yes. I have multiple accounts that aren't Steam friends I share with.

3. Blocking does nothing to sharing. Revoking sharing is the only way to not share.

4. Yes. If Account B gets banned, A is banned as well. Not the other way around.

If you aren't sharing then you won't see their games. Any installed games will appear in the library with a "Purchase" icon rather than a "Play" icon.

You need to be friends to share.

If Account (A) and (B) aren't friends on Steam, will still be able to share their games?

There is no requirement to be in friendlist for that feature.

so I assume that it'll be similar to a refunded game on Steam and it'll appear with a "Purchase"? The only way to get rid of it from the list is to uninstall the game correct?

It seems that both of your answers contradict each other. Upon checking the Family Library Sharing FAQ it just needs both account to be logged in the same computer for it to work.

Let's say you still need to be friends for instance in order to use Family Library Sharing that leads to my 3rd question.

I know my questions gets complicated as they are but since steam support have an awful reputation due to the lack of response rate then I'll be making my own security for this purpose.

Blocking each other for the sake of both of you not appearing on each other's friends list just incase my main account gets compromised. Hackers including with their programmed bots seems to affect users from their friends list that's what question #3 is all about.

I've added a 4th question that's not included in Family Library Sharing FAQ.

The author of this topic has marked a post as the answer to their question.

Alright, thank you very much for this straightforward answer.

This is what I'm looking for before making a secondary account.

Even if your email addres was hacked, there is no need to throw away your account and start a new one, as you can change your email address for your account.

In the Steam client, go to Steam->Settings->Account and then CHANGE CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS...

"What will happen if Family Sharing has been revoked?"

Steam / Valve will make money... That's the whole reason for the change.
