Having issues resetting password
So today I attempted to reset my steam password however it keeps giving me the same “password is invalid” message? I should mention I’m doing this on mobile as I lack access to a pc at this time. Can anyone help please?

Find a PC. Might be easier.

Or give us more information to go on.
Are you using the app or the website? Is your old password the issue or your new one?
Did you change it but you still can't log in?

Alright so I have tried it on both the application and browser and it gives me the same error, my old password is not the issue it’s creating a new one. As every time I try to do so it gives me the same error. I haven’t changed my password yet as I’m not able to.

Still on phone? no PC that you could use anywhere?
Are you using any odd symbols in the password, is it longer or shorter than the old one?

Why can't you access from your PC?

Did you do a password change recently? Did you forget to save the password somewhere?

Or having trouble remembering your password? Did you do password forget? Which I hope you saved your recovery password from your phone apps incase system ask for it, or you're going to have to take it to the next level of getting support which will take awhile as you need proof such as what you bought, how you paid, and proof of card used, or with email.

Unless if you made a throw away email, or email you forgot the password to, which would be the biggest mistake you made for yourself.

Yea I’m waiting for my new pc to come in, will be a couple weeks till that happens. The new password I’m trying to make it bigger but by no means anything crazy

I appreciate your help but your taking this the wrong way I can access my account perfectly fine with everything intact I just am trying to update my password but it keeps saying “invalid password” when I try to update it.

I don't know the max password lenght, what is it and how long is your password? How long was your last one?

On the side tab in Mobile app, click Support, now click on My Account, click on manage account details, scroll down to change password, enter your code you're given that ask for from you, next read what it say, if it say enter old password do so, if the next two say enter new password, do so for those as well, if you get only two bars, and say enter new password, then enter new password only, make sure both the same in both bars.

1st letter's should be upper case, add an number's, and add an symbol's

Example Hithisistom123@

Thank you! I finally got this to work so I really do appreciate you spending the time to help me through this issue. I simply needed the first letter to be capital. I just have one more question... my steam auth is no longer sending a message with my code to my phone (Main device) it was earlier this morning but now I have to manually go into steam guard to retrieve the code. Is this Normal?

Yes & no, idk what the reason for that as it vary on the versions of Androids, Windows, or IOS phones. For me this rarely happens, which I just restart my phone from cold boot, or force stop app, then relaunch it, or do both.

Alright I will keep that in mind... thank you so much for your help I mean it means so much to me honestly you saved me ALOT of trouble. Also nice collection of games when I went to look at it your library crashed my phone LOL
