Question about Kingdom Come: Deliverance download
I bought the game retail with CDs and a steam code inside. I activated the game with the code and obviously gotta wait until it's released. However, I just realized my CD/DVD drive isn't working. Will the game ask me to insert the CDs when installing or can I download it over steam?

You can simply download the game, just activate the product key in the Steam client.

You can install the game when it is released by downloading from your library. This will download the entire game. Steam codes bind the games to your account which can be installed/re-installed at any time.

Cancel the download and then run the installation from the disc and not your library.

Never trust these propietary installers; they usually put their emphasis von being flashy rather than being correct.

Steam should have the option to "download from disc", but that can only be accessed from the command line. Exit the steam client, then run the steam cliemt from the command prompt with an option like "-install E:" (if "E" is your DVD drive).

It's been ages since I've used that, and I've only done it once. Why? Because it's completely unnecessary. Just forget about the discs.
