Big Picture Age Verification Issue
I can no longer get past any age verification screens when I'm in Big Picture. I've tried a whole bunch of different dates, but every time after a short loading screen it just goes back to the age verification screen. I've tried it in both Windows and macOS, so it's definitely not just my computer. The strange thing is, it works fine in the normal Steam UI, so it's not an issue with my account either.

This essentially breaks the Big Picture Store functionality, I didn't realize how many games needed age verification until I ran into this problem.

Anyone else having this issue? If not, any idea on how I could fix it?

To give you an idea of what I mean, this is what it looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLP7p20MMwY

Same exact issue. Big Picture Mode can’t get past age verification for game store pages. Works outside of Big Picture Mode. Thanks for contacting Valve on this.
Same problem!

Yes, it's back. I'm having this problem too.
I think Valve i ditching big picture. Using steam link app works 1 out of 3 times, first two times requires killing steam on PC. Some features of a store doesn't work (age verification, adding to whish list.... even... buing stuff)
Here we are in 2021 and I'm having this exact same issue. Any store page that needs age verification give us an error and can't load the content. So we can't navigate or buy freely in the store using Big Picture, and even some DLCs can't be purchased directly from the game. The only way to workaround this issue is to disable Big Picture mode, and use mouse/keyboard to navigate with the basic Steam app, wht is annoying, because we have a dedicated game computer only to use with steam. Any news about that?
I think there's a simple way developers can fix it forever: Give us the option to put and save our age information on Steam settings, and something like: "NEVER ASK ABOUT AGE AGAIN". So if you have to inform your age anyway, at least would have to do it only once. Done.

I'll give you the full copy/pasta now...

Please use the search. Seriously, my copy/pasta from the last 1,000 threads...

1. Age is set by cookies. If you have to enter the date again, you are deleting Steam's cookies.

2. (The following is about all warnings like the one for the game hub and age gates)

Last stage check (View Page button) will never be set.

3. Been asked soooooo many times that Valve even made a Q&A for it...

Q: Why do you KEEP asking my damn age throughout the store?

A: We're with you on this. Unfortunately, many rating agencies have rules that stipulate that we cannot save your age for longer than a single browsing session. It's frustrating, but know we're filling out those age gates too.

Did you manage to fix it somehow?

I have a living room pc setup with a Dualshock 4 and my OLED TV that I use exclusively for Steam BP and it's sucking a lot that I can't browse half the store. My only other pc is a macbook that I use to develop, so I don't even play games on it.

Right now I have to go browse the store in a browser on the macbook whenever I want to browse the store because it's downright frustrating to do that on Steam BP right now.

I have the same issue. Steam works perfectly fine in usual mode, but fails to get past age verification screen in Big Picture.
Same for me too, I submited this issue to steam 2-3 days ago and asked me to wait for a fix in a future beta release...

Considering it is a 2 year problem, I'm sure this fix is top priority. =(
I gave up already. Changed my whole system, buyed a new computer, and still can't access any game in Big Picture store that requires age verification, meaning 90% of the store, of course.

Too bad, because I really enjoy Big Picture overall.
