Big Picture Age Verification Issue

I can no longer get past any age verification screens when I'm in Big Picture. I've tried a whole bunch of different dates, but every time after a short loading screen it just goes back to the age verification screen. I've tried it in both Windows and macOS, so it's definitely not just my computer. The strange thing is, it works fine in the normal Steam UI, so it's not an issue with my account either.

This essentially breaks the Big Picture Store functionality, I didn't realize how many games needed age verification until I ran into this problem.

Anyone else having this issue? If not, any idea on how I could fix it?

Not sure if it will work but it's worth a try considering at least some age verification data is stored in cookies.

Tried that, but it didn't make a difference.

Yeah that's where I did it. I tried it in both clients (Windows and Mac) but to no avail.

I just tried it in my gf's account: same problem. Starting to think it's an issue with Steam and not on my end. Does anyone else have this issue?

I noticed others that have this issue only when their profile is private.

I have not tested the age gate stuff yet. I have other issues going on with the privacy settings I'm testing out..

Set my account to public and restarted the client. No fix...

It was worth a shot. The privacy settings appareantly now affect your permissions to post on public profile comment sections from what I hear. Not working correctly for me though.

Same here, I never use the browser, only client. Did complete uninstall\reinstall, still can't get into Lightning Returns. I'm 48 btw.

I submitted this to Valve and I got a response just now. They were able to reproduce the issue and forwarded it to Development so they can fix it.

Nothing we can do but wait it out I suppose.

I'm having the exact same issue in Big Picture mode. Cleared cache, reinstalled, etc. and no luck. Pleased keep me posted if you find a fix.

Valve is aware of the problem and they're working on a fix, should be coming asap in the beta client.

so when are they going to fix it? I've uninstalled Big Picture, steam, cleared all cookies, rebooted, run CCleaner.....nothing

Would love to purchase Kingdom Come, but can't get past the age verification
