Is steam.tools safe?
I recently wanted to get my level up, so I found a site called steam.tools. Is it safe for trading? I feel like they can do something if I sign in.

None of those sites are safe. Trade in a single window on Steam or use the Steam Market. That's the only safe way.

Well not all of them, I frequently buy from scrap.tf, Marketplace.tf, and OPSkins.

You feel wrong. They cant do jack only from signing in. That is by the way true for every site. Except if you fall for phishing and instead of actually signimg in, present them your account credentials on a silver platter.

These guys always get their accounts stolen. No such thing as a safe site outside of steam. A lot ofvthem are run by kids, or people who could care less if your credentials are stolen.

Theres a line between paranoia and caution and youve crossed it. While its not wrong per se to stay away from all thise sites, its not necessary. Simply logging in does nothing. Literally nothing. Trading items for promises aka "depositing" is extremely stupid and i still dont get why people are doing it. But using a site as a mere contact board to trade with someone else in one Window is just as safe as using the Steam trading forums for the very same purpose.
